LATVALA WOULD LIKE TO REPEAT VICTORY IN SARDINIA |

After the success obtained last week in the Acropolis Rally, the 28-years Volkswagen driver Jari-Matti Latvala would like to repeat the victory in next Rally Italia Sardegna.

10/06/2013 - «I'm very happy for my victory in Greece, this is my first win with Volkswagen and it is also the eighth success of my career in a Wrc event - said the Finnish driver -. Now I just want to repeat myself in Sardinia, a race that I really like because it has special stages very technical in which I find myself at ease, and where I always gladly drive, although in the last two years I haven't done very well, due to two road accidents.
I have many fans in the island, after Finland where I run at home, Sardinia is the rally in which I have more supporters, and I hope very much to repeat the success I got in 2009. It's also the race where in 2007 for the first time I've been leading a race of the World Rally Championship, and where in 2008 I finished in third place.
This time the rally will take place in another date than in the past, we had never raced in Sardinia at the end of June, and because it´s already summer it will be very hot and tough for the tyres. The race has also been reduced in just two days, like it happens in Finland, and it will be a very compact, tough and selective rally. I have seen also that the special stage "Gallura" in the second lap we will race at night. This is nothing new, since last year on the first day we drove the second stage at nightfall».
