OGIER. "This was a positive daysince the start, we´re still in a good position but the rally is long, we´ve made 120 km so far and have 27 more left till the end of the day with a nightime special which might cause us some problems. I can tell my performance here earns a lot by my driving style, low-aggressive as I tend to use brakes moderately: that´s my secret not to wear tyres too much. The handbrake scared me quite a lot today, but that´s the only problem I´ve had.
HIRVONEN. "The car works all right, upon the second passage we´ve tried to make our best and succeeded, however our problem is tyres: too much worn out.
NEUVILLE. "Fiesta is ok and I feel perfectly good that´s where my scratch came from. Such a pity that over the last stage I suffered from a tyre problem and dropped 6" in the last split. Otherwise I´d have been there with Ogier".
OSTBERG. " All goes fine, on the second passages we had a better grip along the first two stages, while the last one was slippery all the way long and there I turned losing some time".
SORDO. "I´m pushing hard and give the best and the car is ok but I don´t understand why times are not available yet".
MIKKELSEN. "Well, not too bad though better than this morning despite the fact I can´t manage to equally wear my tyres".
JOEST CAPITO (team manager VW Motorpsort). "The Polo goes very well and I congratulate Ogier for his great trial while Jari-Matti Latvala had some problems. We are leading now and I´m very happy but the rally is long".
MALCOLM WILSON (team manager MSport). "I´m very happy, if we could exclude Ogier from the standings, we are all at the same position. We regret Novikov´s mistake however we have so many kms behind us".
KUBICA. "I got scared over the third stage but apart from that everything´s all fine. My aim is getting to the end and score as many points as possible, let´s think now to continue and above all to the nightime stage".
AL KUWARI. "It´s not an easy rally cause you must always be careful where you´re driving: losing control is a serious risk. However I´m quite all right and though slightly back I´m recovering".
CHARDONNET. "We gained on Riedemann but had been slowed down over the last stage by Rasheed´ s dust who made us lose one minute and a half". |
